Like Fred said, the series III arm is one great arms on the market. Now it is perfectly happy! Moral of the story, think outside the box! The KAB fluid did the trick for my sibilant Grado. So I tried some 30,000 cst from TurntableBasics.Com and then some 60,000 cst from KABUSA.Com. With my Grado, I found I needed a thicker silicone. The one that tracks the problems is the winner. You just have to try them all on the most punishing music you have on hand. Interestingly, SME supplied three different paddles and 20,000 cst silicone fluid with elaborate directions for what to use. It deepens and defines the bass, gives the vocalists meat on the bones, and just gives you amazing detail in the midrange. In my experience it has helped with every cartridge I have on hand. The bias and tracking are adjusted and I did clean the armlift. One problem I have noticed is a slight pull towards the vinly's outside edge when cueing the record. Are replacements available & is the trough necessary? Also, the copy of the manual's photos are not negligible so the section on tuning the lateral balance is a bit vague. Unfortunately I do not have the paddles for the trough so not sure if I'll be able to utilize it.

I did download the manual and have set the tonearm up to the best of my abilities.so far. I recently picked up a Thorens TD125 with a SME 3009 III.
